Mint Chutney - Pudinay ki Chutney

This is an Indian relish made with fresh mint leaves. It's the Indian version of mint sauce with a chilli kick.

The relish can be served with kebabs and other meat dishes or with vegetables and rice.

Serves 4

50g mint leaves, washed
1 medium onion, roughly chopped
2 green finger chillies, roughly chopped
1 tbsp lemon juice
1/2 tsp salt
25g coriander leaves, washed and roughly chopped
1 tsp demerara sugar


Place all the ingredients in a blender together with 3-4 tbsp of cold water and blend well to form a thick paste.
Serve immediately. This should be consumed the same day as when made.
